124.1
Song of degrees. From David. Without the Lord who protected us, let Israel say so!
124.2
Without the Lord who protected us, When men rose up against us,
124.3
They would have swallowed us up alive, When their anger was kindled against us;
124.4
Then the waters would have submerged us, The torrents would have passed over our soul;
124.5
Then the impetuous waves would have passed over our soul.
124.6
Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us up to their teeth!
124.7
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the net of bird-seekers; The net broke, and we escaped.
124.8
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
