Prayers to Saint Joseph

1st Prayer

Blessed Joseph,
father and protector of virginal souls,
faithful guardian,
to whom Christ Jesus was entrusted,
innocence itself, and Mary,
Virgin among virgins,
I beg you and implore you,
through Jesus and Mary,
this double deposit so dear to your heart,
preserve me from all filth
and give me a righteous mind,
a pure heart,
a chaste body,
to serve forever
Jesus and Mary with loving piety.

So be it.

2nd prayer

O good Saint Joseph,
O my loving Father,
faithful to Jesus,
chaste Spouse of the Mother of God,
I beg you and implore you
to present to God the Father,
his bloodied Son on the Cross
for sinners,
and in the thrice holy Name of Jesus,
get us from the Eternal Father
the favor we ask for ...

Appease the wrath of Jesus
so justly kindled by our faults,
ask him for mercy for your children;
in the midst of your eternal splendors,
remember the sorrows of the earth,
remember those who suffer,
of those who pray,
of those who cry;
stop the almighty arm of jesus
that strikes us and that,
by your prayers
and those of your most holy Bride,
he finally lets himself be touched and flexed.

So be it.

3rd prayer

We turn to you
in our tribulation,
blessed Joseph, and,
after imploring help
of your most holy Bride,
we also ask
confidently your patronage.
By the affection that has united you
with the Immaculate Virgin,
Mother of God,
by fatherly love
with whom you surrounded the Child Jesus,
we beg you
to look kindly
the heritage that Jesus Christ
conquered with his blood,
and assist us
of your power
and your help in our needs.

Protect, O most wise Guardian
of the divine family,
the chosen race of Jesus Christ:
preserve us, O most loving Father,
from every taint of error
and corruption;
be auspicious and assist us,
from the top of the sky,
our most powerful Liberator,
in the fight we are fighting
to the power of darkness;
and just as you snatched
formerly the baby jesus
at the risk of death,
defend today
the holy Church of God
enemy snares
and from all adversity.
Grant us your perpetual protection,
so that, supported by your example
and your help, we can
live holy and obtain
the eternal bliss of Heaven.

So be it.

AVE, JOSEPH.

I salute you,
Joseph, Son of David,
husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
from which Jesus was born.

Saint Joseph,
foster father of Jesus,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the time of our death.

4th prayer

Saint Joseph,
to whom God has entrusted the care
of the holiest family
who ever was, be,
we beg you,
the Father and the Protector of ours,
and get us to live
and die in love
of Jesus and of Mary.

So be it.

5th prayer

Saint Joseph, O you who,
happy with a dark life,
have put your joy in loving
of all the tenderness
from your heart Jesus and Mary,
pray for us, please,
so that we too
we found our delights in the shadows
and the silence of the hidden life,
and that looking only at Jesus,
listening only to Jesus,
following only Him,
and burning with tender love
for his divine Mother,
it is given to us to live
and die in the sweet union
of fraternal charity
and in perfection
of the religious spirit.

So be it.
