Saint Apolline, Beautiful and divine, Sitting at the foot of a tree, On the white marble stone. Jesus Our Savior, There, passing by happiness, said to Him: “Apolline, who is it that grieves you? I am here, Divine Master, for pain,
not for sorrow: I am here for my head, for my blood, and for my toothache. Jesus said to her, 'Apollinia have faith: † At my word, O evil one, turn away! † If it be a drop of blood, it shall dry up: † If it be a worm, straightway it shall die. End with five Pater and five Ave, in honour of the five wounds of the Saviour.
