Saints
Saint Cajetan of Thienna was born in Vicenza and was dedicated to Mary from birth. As a child, his preferences went to the poor, and he did so throughout his life. Everywhere he went, he first went to the poor and needy. When he died, in 1547, he wanted it to be like a poor man, on ashes and not on a mattress. He even refused the assistance of a doctor, saying that he was just a poor monk who did not deserve to be assisted.
Saint Cajetan is invoked especially to obtain the healing of cysts.
INVOCATION
O God, who made Saint Cajetan a powerful and charitable intercessor for all who invoke him, may they become, Lord, our refuge in our sorrows, our strength in our weaknesses, our help in tribulations, our consolation and our joy in afflictions, so that we may bless you with him, throughout all eternity. So be it.
Saint Cajetan, so powerful to help us in all our troubles, pray for us.
PRAYER
O my Jesus! I always want to think of your cross, in order to find salvation in it; and as she is the path that leads to your peace, she must also be my only consolation and the sweetest object of my thoughts. O my Jesus! I always want to carry your holy cross to the bottom of my heart, and to have it everywhere with me, outside as at home, in calm and in trouble, in joy and in pain, and especially when I am chastised for my sins. So be it.
