Jesus
This devotion was approved and recommended by Pope Clement XII (1730-1740)
Fifteen secret pains and sufferings revealed orally by Our Lord to Sister Mary Magdalene Martinengo (1687-1737), a Poor Clare, who lived very holy and died blessed in Rome.
Christ granted the wish of this nun - who longed to know His secret pains - by appearing to her and revealing to her fifteen sufferings endured the night before her death.
Christ said to her: 'The Jews considered me the most wicked man on earth at that time. That is why...1. They bound my feet with a rope and dragged me down a stone staircase and threw me into a stinking cellar full of filth.
2. They stripped me of my clothes and pierced my body with sharp iron spikes.
3. They tied a rope around my body and dragged me along the floor from one wall to another.
4. They hung me from a beam with a noose until I slipped and fell to the ground. Broken by this torture, I shed tears of Blood.
5. They tied me to a post to pierce my body with different weapons.
6. They threw stones at me and burned me with hot coals and torches.
7. They pierced me with reeds, lacerated me with sharp spears and tore the skin, flesh and veins of my Body.
8. They tied me to a column to make me stand barefoot on a plate of glowing metal.
9. They put an iron crown on me and blindfolded me with a filthy cloth.
10. They made me sit on a chair with sharp nails that went deep into my flesh.
11. They poured liquid lead and resin into my wounds, and after this torture, they crushed me on the chair so that the nails would penetrate deeper into my flesh.
12. For my shame and torment they drove needles into the open wounds of my torn beard. They tied my hands behind my back and pushed me out of the prison, beating me with rods.
13. They threw me on a cross and tied me so tightly that I could not breathe.
14. They hit me on the head as I lay on the ground and one of them, resting his foot on my chest, thrust a thorn from my crown through my tongue.
15. They poured the worst excrement into my mouth and hurled the most vile insults at me.
Then Jesus said: "My dear daughter, I desire that you reveal these Fifteen secret pains and sufferings so that they may be contemplated and honoured. To all those who will offer Me every day with love one of these unknown pains and will say with devotion this prayer, I will grant as a reward eternal bliss on the day of judgment. "
PRAYER
My Lord and my God! It is my irrevocable will to honour, praise and adore You through Your Fifteen secret pains and Your shed Blood. May the most lovable Lord Jesus Christ, His Sacred Heart, His Precious Blood, the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, the nine glorious choirs of Angels and the blessed multitude of Saints be blessed, praised and glorified as many thousands of times as there are grains of sand in the sea, grains of earth in the fields as many times as there are grains of sand in the sea, grains of earth in the fields, blades of grass on the earth, fruit on the trees, leaves on the branches, flowers in the meadows, stars in the firmament, angels in heaven and creatures on earth, by me and all human beings henceforth and for ever and ever, I desire to thank Thee, to serve Thee, to make amends and reparation for all outrages against Thee, and to belong to Thee in body and soul. As many times, beloved Jesus, I also regret my sins and ask for Your forgiveness, my Lord and my God. I offer all Your merits in reparation to the eternal Father for my faults and sins. I take the firm resolution to improve my life, I ask You for the grace of a holy death and invoke You for the deliverance of the souls in Purgatory. I want to renew this devotion every hour and persevere in it until my death. I ask You, O good and most loving Jesus, to confirm my deep desire in heaven and not to allow it to be annihilated by anyone, least of all by the evil one. Amen.

Jesus Christ is a central figure in Christianity. He is regarded as the incarnation of God.
The historical existence of Jesus is attested by archaeological research and by the accounts of Roman historians (Flavius Josephus, Tacitus, Suetonius).
At about the age of thirty, Jesus left Nazareth and began an itinerant public life. He calls his disciples and walks with them through Judea and Galilee. He teaches, he heals the sick, casts out demons, walks on water, forgives sins, raises the dead. He is attentive to children. He shares meals, a wedding party, pilgrimages to Jerusalem. He lives as a Jewish believer, goes to the synagogue, observes the Sabbath. He weeps, gets angry, experiences sadness, fatigue and thirst, compassion and even anguish. Jesus is known for his natural authority.
With all the miracles he performed, Jesus is the one to whom prayers should be addressed no matter what difficulties one faces.
