O Jesus!
who, before ascending to heaven,
have promised your Apostles
and to your Disciples
to send them the Holy Spirit
to comfort and strengthen them,
deign to bring down thus on us
this Sanctifying Spirit.
Come into us,
Spirit of wisdom,
who make us know true happiness,
and give us the means to obtain it.
Come into us,
Spirit of intelligence,
who make us penetrate,
by your divine light,
the truths and mysteries of our religion.
Come into us,
Spirit of advice,
who make us discern,
on occasions,
what we need to do
to accomplish the divine will.
Come into us,
Spirit of strength,
and tie us to God
and our duties,
so that nothing
can never detach us from it.
Come on to us,
Spirit of science,
who alone can give us
perfect knowledge of God
and ourselves.
I ask you for this divine science
and only necessary,
with all the ardor of my soul;
I will tell you over and over
with Saint Augustine:
My God, let me know you,
and that I know myself!
Come into us,
Spirit of piety,
who make us accomplish
with joy and ease
whatever God commands us,
and who, by the anointing of divine love,
make us find the yoke
of the Lord really sweet and light.

Spirit of fear of the Lord,
who make us avoid
anything that may displease Heavenly Father.

Lord, you are my strength and my patience,
my light and my advice;
it is you who submit to me
the people you entrusted to me.
Don't leave me to myself for a single moment,
but give me for the conduct of others
and my own salvation,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of advice and strength,
the spirit of science and piety
and the spirit of the fear of the Lord.
I pray to the Blessed Virgin,
Saint Joseph,
the Angels and all the Saints
to protect me in the exercise of my job.

The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is the third person of the Trinity. His action is in perfect unity with the Father (GOD) and the Son (Jesus Christ). When we are in a state where we deserve to receive Him, He enlightens us, guides us, protects us from all dangers (spiritual and physical).
