Prayer to Saint Praejectus, Prejectus or Projectus against contagious diseases and particularly against incurable diseases

INVOCATION:
O God, who give us every year a new subject of joy in the solemnity of the feast of Saint Praejectus; make that, by your kindness, we rejoice to be protected and assisted in our sufferings by the intercession of our blessed bishop and martyr. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Praejectus, special patron against incurable diseases, pray for us.

PRAYER:
To redeem the world, O Jesus! you took human nature; you have submitted to circumcision; you were rejected by the Jews, betrayed by Judas, and delivered to your enemies with a kiss; you allowed yourselves to be tied with ropes, and led to punishment like an innocent lamb; you appeared before Annas, Caiaphas, Pilate and Herod; you have been accused by false witnesses, flogged, insulted, boasted, crowned with thorns, struck with a reed on the head; your eyes have been veiled, your body laid bare, nailed and raised on the cross; you were made among the scoundrels, watered with gall and vinegar, and pierced with a spear. Ah! Lord, by all these holy and cruel sufferings which I honor at this moment, by your holy cross and your bloody death, deliver me, I beg you, from the eternal pains of hell, and lead me where you have lead the good thief who was crucified with you. So be it.
