SaintsSaint Quinciano o Quintiano is invoked against frigidity. This holy bishop converted the pagans with his words, which were admirable.
INVOCATION:
Lord, let the intercession of Saint Quintian come to our aid, so that it obtains perfect healing for us from your mercy; may our sufferings and all trials of our life be sanctified by the merits of Jesus Christ; may we be continually assisted by the prayers of your saints throughout our lives and at the time of our death. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Quintian, who said that you would never be implored in vain, obtain this grace for me.
PRAYER:
It is truly just and reasonable, it is just and salutary to give thanks to you at all times and in all places, Most Holy Lord, Almighty Father, Eternal God, who by your power created the whole universe from nothing; who, from the beginning of the world, after having made man in your image, gave him, to be his inseparable helper, the woman whom you formed of himself, thereby teaching us that he is never allowed to separate what has been united in the institution which you have made.
O God, who consecrated marriage with such an excellent mystery, that the wedding covenant is the figure of the sacred union of Jesus Christ and his Church!
O God, by whom the woman is united to the man and who bestow on their union the most holy of blessings, the only one which has not been taken away, neither by the punishment of original sin, nor by the sentence of the flood!
O God, who alone have in your power the heart of man, and who know and rule all things by your providence, so that no one can disunite what you unite, nor harm what you bless! unite, please, the spirit of these two spouses who belong to you, and pour into their hearts a sincere friendship, so that they are one in you, as you are one, the only true and the one all-powerful. Look favorably on your servant who, having to be united with her husband, implores your protection.
Make his yoke a yoke of love and peace; make that, chaste and faithful, she marries in the Lord; may she always follow the example of the holy women; that she make herself lovable to her husband like Rachel, that she be wise like Rebecca, that she be faithful like Sarah.
May the author of the depravity find nothing in her that is his; may she remain steadfast in your law and in keeping your commandments, so that being only attached to her husband, she does not defile the nuptial bed by any illegitimate trade; that, to support her weakness, she arms herself with the exactness of a regulated life; that she have a modesty suitable for attracting respect, that she learn her duties in the all heavenly doctrine of Jesus Christ; may she obtain happy fertility from you; may she lead a pure and blameless life, so that she may attain the happiness of the saints and the kingdom of heaven.
Grant, Lord, that they both see the children of their children to the fourth generation, and come to a happy old age; through Jesus Christ, your Son, Our Lord. So be it.
