Holy Mary, Mother of God, keep for me the heart of a child, pure and transparent as a spring; obtain for me a simple heart that does not relish sadness; a heart beautiful to give, tender to compassion, a faithful and generous heart that forgets no good deed and holds no grudge against any evil. Make me a gentle and humble heart, loving without asking for anything in return, joyful in giving way to another heart before your divine Son; a heart great and indomitable, that no ingratitude closes, that no indifference wearies; a heart tormented by the glory of Jesus Christ, wounded by his love and whose wound will heal only in Heaven. So be it.
