God, author of all life, we ask you to bless this unborn child; grant it your constant protection and a happy birth as a sign of our rebirth one day to enjoy eternal life in heaven.
Lord, who has allowed this woman to experience the great joy of motherhood, grant that she may remain serene in her worries and know how to make the right decisions to guide this child along the paths of salvation.
Lord of all time, you have chosen this man to experience the gift and honour of fatherhood. Give him the strength he needs to take on this new responsibility, so that he may be an example of justice and truth for his child.
Lord, pour out your sincere and faithful love on this family so that they may prepare to receive this child into their midst.
Lord, you have placed in the hearts of all men and women of good will a great respect and wonder for the gift of new life. May our community, faithful to the teaching of the Gospel, participate in the spiritual education of this child, in Christ, our Saviour, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

In order to prevent Satan, the terrible evil one before the Lord, from achieving his objectives of harm, we must seek to cultivate and perpetuate Understanding in our living environments, in our families, in our countries...
