With your pure, burning flames
Holy Spirit, set my soul ablaze.
Consume it with divine love,
O you whom I invoke every day.

Spirit of God, shining light,
You who fill me with your favours,
You who flood me with your sweetness,
Burn, annihilate me completely!

You who give me my vocation,
Oh, lead me to this union
Intimate, interior, to this life
All in God which is my desire.

Let my hope be founded in Jesus alone
And may living in the midst of the world
I long for and see only him,
He my love, my divine friend!

Holy Spirit, goodness, supreme beauty!
O you whom I adore! O you whom I love!
Consume with your divine flames,
And this body, and this heart, and this soul,
This bride of the Trinity
Who longs only for your will!
