Lord God, man and woman, you created us and you invite us to live a joyful and life-giving love for one another.
In your immense love and providence, you have led us towards each other for years. Today, we come to place our future in your hands with its questions, its hopes, its worries, its unforeseen events. Make us capable of forgiveness and trust.
Brightens up our relationship in good and bad days.
God, faithful and generous, we ask you: teach us every day to make a new commitment, rejuvenate our love, strengthen us in fidelity, be with us in times of doubt.
Make our project a reality. May our desire to live for each other be fulfilled. Make our marriage an instrument of peace.
Where there is hatred, we want to bring love and tolerance.
Where there is discord, we want to re-unite.
Where darkness reigns, may we bring light.
We also pray for couples in difficulty, for all those who find it difficult to find each other and live in trust.
To all spouses, to all families, grant, Lord, your gifts of unity, fruitfulness and fidelity.
