Psalm 56
56.1
(56: 1) To the Chief Musician. On <>. Hymn of David. When the Philistines seized him in Gath. (56: 2) Have mercy on me, O God! for men harass me; All day long they wage war on me, they torment me.

(56: 3) All day long my adversaries harass me; There are many of them, they wage war on me like haughty people.

(56: 4) When I am in awe, In you I trust.
56.4
(56: 5) I will glory in God, in his word; I trust in God, I fear nothing: What can men do to me?
56.5
(56: 6) They constantly violate my rights, they only have bad thoughts about me.
56.6
(56: 7) They plot, they spy, they watch my footsteps, Because they want my life.
56.7
(56: 8) By iniquity they hope to escape: In your anger, O God, precipitate the peoples!

(56: 9) You count the steps of my wandering life; Collect my tears in your bottle: Are they not written in your book?

(56:10) My enemies retreat, in the day that I cry; I know God is for me.

(56:11) I will glory in God, in his word; I will boast in the Lord in his word;

(56:12) I trust in God, I have no fear: What can men do to me?

(56:13) O God! I must fulfill the wishes I made to you; I will give you thanksgiving.

(56:14) For thou hast delivered my soul from death, thou hast secured my feet from falling, that I might walk before God in the light of the living.
