Saint Clarus is invoked by the sick afflicted with eye diseases and by the blind for their healing.
This great saint was buried in Saint-Clair-sur-Epte. People always come there on pilgrimage to ask for his help and intercession. A chapel was built on the site of his cell.
Saint Clarus died around 880 a martyr of his faith, giving glory to God for the sufferings he endured and which won him an eternal crown in Heaven.

INVOCATION
Assist us, Lord, through the prayers of your martyr Saint Clarus; pour out your blessings on us, open our eyes to the light so that we can bless him for all the gifts that we will obtain by his mighty power; intercession. We beg you by N.-S. J.- So be it.
Saint Clarus, who have a special grace for healing the eyes, pray for us.

PRAYER
O Jesus who redeemed me with your blood! I repent of all my sins, and promise to convert me and do penance. Take away from me all that you find bad in it, so that, being pure in mind and body, I may attend this adorable sacrifice with dignity. May he completely wash away all my defilements; may he awaken in me holy thoughts and pious feelings; let him remove from me all that displeases you; may he give me the courage to always do the works that are pleasing to you; and may he defend my soul and my body against all my enemies. So be it.
