Saint Brice is invoked particularly for wounds that do not close. Saint Brice is also called Saint Bris in french. As a reward for his humble life, all devoted to the poor, God destined him to exercise the high office of Bishop of Tours.

Saint Brice succeeded Saint Martin de Tours; he died in 444 (he was celebrated on November 13). Do not confuse this with Brice who was a monk at the abbey of Micy-Saint-Mesmin near Orleans, then a hermit in a forest in the diocese of Sées and who is celebrated on July 9.

INVOCATION
In memory of your sufferings, Lord, and your sorrows, help me to endure my own sufferings more valiantly. I know that my wounds are nothing compared to those you endured on the cross; but I beg you, by the merits of Saint Brice, make these wounds close, make the flesh become healthy again. So be it.
Saint Brice, who received from God the power to heal rebellious wounds. Relieve us, pray for us.

PRAYER
Good Jesus, loaded with your cross, and led to the place of your torment, like a lamb to the slaughter, have mercy on me, Lord, have mercy on me. So be it.
