Psalm 77
77.1 (77: 1) To the Chief Musician. According to Jeduthun. Psalm of Asaph. (77: 2) My voice is lifted up to God, and I cry out; My voice is raised to God, and he will listen to me. 77.2 (77: 3) In the day of my distress I seek the Lord; At night, my hands are stretched out tirelessly; My soul refuses all consolation. 77.3 (77: 4) I remember God, and I groan; I meditate, and my mind is downcast. -Pause. 77.4 (77: 5) You keep my eyelids awake; And, in my confusion, I cannot speak. 77.5 (77: 6) I am thinking of the old days, The years of old. 77.6 (77: 7) I think of my hymns at night, I reflect within my heart, And my mind meditates. 77.7 (77: 8) Will the Lord reject forever? Will it no longer be favorable? 77.8 (77: 9) Is his kindness forever exhausted? Is his word broken for eternity? 77.9 (77:10) Has God forgotten to have compassion? Has he in his anger withdrawn his mercy? -Pause.
77.10 (77:11) I said: What causes my suffering is that the right hand of the Most High is no longer the same ... 77.11 (77:12) I will remember the works of the Lord, for I remember your wonders of old; 77.12 (77:13) I will speak of all your works, I will relate your deeds. 77.13 (77:14) O God! your ways are holy; Which god is great like God? 77.14 (77:15) You are the God who works wonders; Thou hast manifested thy might among the peoples. 77.15 (77:16) With your arm you delivered your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. -Pause. 77.16 (77:17) The waters have seen you, O God! The waters saw you, they trembled; The abysses are moved. 77.17 (77:18) The clouds poured out water in torrents, thunder resounded in the clouds, and your arrows flew on all sides. 77.18 (77:19) Your thunder broke in the whirlwind, The lightnings lit up the world; The earth moved and trembled. 77.19 (77:20) You made your way by sea, A path by many waters, and your footsteps were no longer known. 77.20 (77:21) You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
