76.1
(76: 1) To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. Psalm of Asaph. Canticle. (76: 2) God is known in Judah, His name is great in Israel.

(76: 3) His tent is in Salem, and his dwelling place in Zion.
76.3
(76: 4) It was there that he broke the arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. -Pause.

(76: 5) You are more majestic, more powerful Than the mountains of the captors.

(76: 6) They were robbed, these courageous heroes, They fell asleep from their last sleep; They did not know how to defend themselves, all these valiant men.

(76: 7) At your threat, God of Jacob! They fell asleep, riders and horses.

(76: 8) You are dreadful, O you! Who can resist you, when your anger breaks out?

(76: 9) From heaven you proclaimed the sentence; The terrified land has stood still,

(76:10) When God arose to do justice, To save all the poor on the earth. -Pause.

(76:11) Man celebrates you even in his anger, When you clothe yourself with all your wrath.

(76:12) Make vows to the Lord your God, and fulfill them! May all those around him bring gifts to the terrible God!

(76:13) He destroys the pride of princes, He is fearful to the kings of the earth.
