Here I am, O good and very sweet Jesus,
prostrate in your presence.
I beg you and implore you
with all the ardor of my soul
to deign to imprint in my heart
strong feelings of faith,
of hope and charity,
a real repentance of my faults
and a very firm desire to correct me:
while with great love
and great pain
I consider and contemplate
in spirit your five wounds,
having before my eyes what
already the prophet David
made you say about yourself,
O good Jesus:
They pierced my hands and my feet,
they counted all my bones.
