Success Psalms
Psalm 64
1 From the singing master. Psalm. From David.
2 Hear, O God, the voice of my complaint, against the fear of the enemy keep my life;
3 from the band of wicked hide me, from the pack of evil workers!
4 They who sharpen their tongues like a sword, they adjust their arrow, bitter word,
5 to shoot the innocent in secret, they shoot suddenly and fear nothing.
6 They encourage each other in their wicked work, they calculate to lay snares, they say: "Who will see them?
7 and scrutinize our secrets? ”He scrutinizes them, he who scrutinizes the depths of man and the deep heart.
8 God shot an arrow, their wounds suddenly were;
9 because of their tongue he caused them to fall; all who see them shake their heads.
10 Every man then will fear, he will proclaim the work of God, and his work he will understand.
11 The righteous will have joy in Yahweh and refuge in him; they will praise it, all righteous hearts.
