Saint Guy is invoked against epidemics, to be protected from contagion and mainly from measles.
Saint Guy, also known as the poor man of Anderlecht, was born near Brussels of poor but virtuous parents who brought him up in the pious practices of the Christian religion.
As a child, he was full of wisdom and virtues. His life was difficult and cut off from the great penances he imposed on himself. He died in the year 1012. The miracles and healings that took place at his tomb were dazzling.

INVOCATION:
Lord, who have deigned to warn Blessed Guy, your servant of the sweetness of your grace, you have placed a crown of glory on his head and you have given him to us as a powerful intercessor. May he pray for us and obtain for us, along with the health of the body, the grace to praise and love you eternally. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Guy of Anderlecht, be auspicious to us against all contagion, and grant healing to those sick with measles.

PRAYER:
My God, I am but a poor sinner, incapable by myself of sanctifying your adorable name; but your Son came to make him known and venerated on earth: make every creature obey his word, and follow his commandments. So be it.
