1st prayer
O eternal God,
I adore you
and I give you thanks
for all your blessings:
I thank you for having created me,
for having redeemed me through Jesus Christ
for having made me a Christian,
for having waited for me
when I was in sin
and for forgiving me so often.
2nd prayer
+ In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.
So be it.
My God,
I firmly believe that you are present everywhere
and especially in this place.
I adore you as my Creator
and my sovereign Master,
and I submit myself entirely to you.
Thank you,
Oh my God,
for creating me,
for having redeemed me and made me a Christian,
as also of all the other graces
that I received from you,
and especially for keeping me during that day.
I offer you, O my God,
the rest that I will take to repair my strength,
in order to serve you better.
Holy Spirit,
deign to enlighten me so that
I know the sins that I have committed;
make me conceive of a sincere pain
and the resolution to correct me.

Praying at night is a way of acting that every person should adopt on a daily basis. Evening prayers can be said before going to bed. The purpose is to thank God for the past day, ask forgiveness for shortcomings or sins and faults committed, ask for protection for the night, ask for graces and blessings to be better the next day.
