Saint Joseph Saints Find a job
Lord Jesus, son of the carpenter,
We pray for those who work.
Give them health,
so that they may contribute according to their abilities,
To the works of humanity.
We pray to you for those who are looking for work,
Who are in pain and distress.
That government actions
bring good results, and have a real impact on employment and the living conditions of workers.
We thank you
for those who are fighting against rising unemployment.
May the search for the common good be like the beacon
That guides the march of trade unions.
With workers all over the world,
We ask you to give us
the taste and love of our work.
May we do it with justice and honesty.
May we know how to praise you,
To use the money you have entrusted to us
In the service of those marginalised in our society.
May each of us taste your peace,
on this 1st day of May!

Saint Joseph, the husband of Mary, is a special saint because he received from God the mission to take care of Jesus and Mary.
