Saint Margaret lived in the 3rd century and died a martyr for the greater glory of her Saviour Our Lord Jesus Christ.
She is, par excellence, the protector of pregnant women who recommend themselves to her with great devotion.
Women afflicted with sterility also turn to her to obtain the grace of having a child.
Saint Margaret is particularly honoured in the cathedral of Troyes (Aube) where her precious relics are kept.

INVOCATION:

God of goodness and mercy, who created us all for eternal salvation, and who wants no one to die, deign, we beseech you, to help us effectively through the intercession of St. Margaret, whose virtues and sufferings have glorified your name. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.

Saint Margaret, so propitious to pregnant women who place themselves under your protection, pray for us and still be our advocate in unfortunate and unforeseen events.

LET US PRAY:

Merciful Father, don't you see the adorable head of your beloved Son bowing on the cross in the anguish of death! Consider, O my God, the humanity of your dear Son, and may it inspire in you great compassion for the frailty of all guilty men. His eyes, once so bright, are troubled, his adorable face fades, his outstretched arms stiffen, and his precious blood flows in great waves from his pierced feet. So be it.
