Saint Fare is invoked for the cure of eye diseases and especially glaucoma.
She has often restored sight to people who are completely blind.
Sainte Fare lived in the 7 ′ century. When her father urged her to accept a husband, she told him that she did not want to have any husband other than God.
She founded the Abbey of Faremoutiers where many young girls came to put themselves under her direction because her reputation for holiness extended beyond the walls of the convent.
Saint Fare was kind to the unfortunate and beneficent to the poor. She had unshakeable confidence in God and when the attics were empty and the cellar similarly, she said to the worried sister cook: “Have confidence, put yourself in the hands of God: God will provide for our needs. And always a gift arrived, which made it possible to live. God never let his maids lack the necessities, and the trust of Saint Fare was an object of admiration for his sisters.

O Lord, our God and Father, you who enlighten the blind and who have bestowed this wonderful gift on Saint Fare, your blessed servant, deign, O my God, to grant to her intercession on our behalf the healing and perfect health that we expect from your goodness, to consecrate her to love and obey you in all your commandments. Saint Fare, whom we invoke so effectively to obtain the recovery of our sight, pray for us.

PRAYER:
O God, who willed, for the redemption of the world, to be born in a manger, circumcised, rejected by the Jews; betrayed by a sacrilegious kiss of the traitor Judas; bound like an innocent lamb to be slain; shamefully dragged before the courts of Anna, Caiaphas, Pilate and Herod; Accused by false witnesses, blown up, covered with spittle, beaten with rods, crowned with thorns, mocked, filled with shame and ignominy; stripped of your clothes; tied with nails to a cross; placed between two thieves, watered with gall and vinegar, and pierced with the iron of a spear: Kind Saviour, thus immolated to consume the sublime work of our redemption, by freeing us from the triple bondage of sin, of the devil and of hell; I implore you by so many atrocious torments endured out of love for me, the memory of which will always be present in my heart; I beseech you, by your cross and death, deliver me from the pains of hell, and deign to bring me into this heavenly kingdom where you have brought the penitent thief crucified with you; you who, being God, live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever, so be it.
