INVOCATION:
Inhabitant of all the earth, sing unto the LORD; proclaim his salvation from day to day: for great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is formidable above all gods. And indeed, all the gods of the nations are but idols; but the Lord made the heavens. Majesty and magnificence walk before him; strength and joy are in the place where he dwells. You families of peoples, give glory to the Lord, give glory to the Lord, and know his strength. Give the glory due to his name to the Lord. Bring the oblation, and stand before him; bow down in holy pomp. You, all the inhabitants of the earth, tremble in astonishment at the presence of his face; for the world is established by him, and he will not be moved. Let the heavens and the earth rejoice, and let it be said among the nations, The LORD reigns.
Praise the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endures forever. O God of our salvation, deliver us and gather us together, and withdraw us from the nations, to praise your holy name and to glorify us by praising you. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from century to century. And all the people said, Amen.
Saint Montanus, intercede for me, pray for me.
PRAYER:
O my Jesus! how many times, like a mother pouring out her pain and tears on her son's grave, how many times, thinking of your passion, your painful death, do i feel as if i faint in my soul, where i hold you enclosed by faith as in a tomb! There my soul beseeches you, you embalm the tears that the pain of your death on the cross draws from my eyes. Through your Cross, protect me. So be it.
