God my creator I come to you now in the name of Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world, the Son of God who sacrificed himself for me by undergoing the punishment I deserved. I believe that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of the living God, I believe that Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, I believe that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes upon himself the sins of the world. I believe that Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago and rose again three days later. I believe in Jesus, I accept him as my Lord and Saviour of my soul.
I confess that I have sinned and done what is wrong in your eyes; I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I need forgiveness. I beg you to forgive me all my sins, my faults, my offences, all the bad things I have done in my life, all the foolish things I have said or done, all my bad thoughts, all the evil I have done. Forgive me now because of the blood shed by Jesus on the cross, forgive me because of Jesus who suffered the punishment I deserved, forgive me in your goodness and according to your great mercy. Erase them from your books and remember them no more. Wash me with the precious blood of Jesus, wash my heart, wash my soul, wash my spirit, wash my conscience, wash me of all impurities and the filth of sin, and give me a pure heart and a good spirit.
Write my name, oh God, in your Book of Life. Give me eternal life, which is a gift from you to me; I receive eternal life as a gift from you, it is your grace, your favour to me, you give it to me out of pure grace because of Jesus and what he did for me, he gave his life so that I may live and not perish in hell. Oh God I receive today the adoption that you offer me, so take me and receive me as a son, make me your child by adoption as you promised in the Holy Scriptures, in the Bible. Oh God, bring your Holy Spirit into me, the Spirit of Resurrection and Life, the Spirit of adoption which is the seal of my adoption, I receive it as the Spirit of Jesus coming to dwell in me to instruct me and enable me to honour and serve you as you will. I ask in the name of Jesus my Lord and Saviour.
I believe and receive what I have just asked for by faith, in the name of Jesus. I confess that Jesus is my Lord now, Jesus is my Saviour, Jesus is my God. God is my father from today and forever. I will serve you my God. I will walk with you my God. I am attached to you. Teach me. Lead me. Show me my place in your church, lead me to the church assembly where you want me to be so that I may be spiritually nourished and grow in the knowledge of you my God. Amen.
