Jesus Spirituality eternal life
1st prayer
My Lord and my God, if you appeared to me, with what respect I would kiss the vestiges of your visible passage! Your invisible and permanent presence is no less essential to my faith, to my heart. Revive my fervor to adore you in the holy Host; give me a lofty idea of the love which makes you multiply wonders for my happiness on earth. O my sweet Jesus, remind me to think of you relentlessly, to thank you incessantly for your blessings, to go courageously to my duties and not to shrink from the hour of sacrifice. Deliver me from the trouble at the sight of my faults, and from the inconstancy of virtue. Take away from me the anxiety in the darkness of the soul, the too natural eagerness for earthly things, and give me the calm necessary for self-control. Do me the grace to use the faculties of my soul and my senses for your glory, to spend myself without interruption in your service, like the oil which is consumed day and night in the sanctuary. Let me be outside, by my fidelity to your law, like that lighted lamp which announces your presence; and may the love of the Holy Eucharist consume me within. O Lord Jesus, my efforts will never equal your blessings, your love, your sufferings! I feel incapable of responding to this tender, strong and jealous love, by which you claim ownership of my heart. But since you deposit there, by communion, the fullness of your gifts, I present to you in return your sacred body, here present for me. Receive this completely divine offering in recognition of your absolute domain over my being and my life; and give it back to me so that it remains as much the testimony of my gratitude as that of your love.
Intimate request: O Jesus, may you ever say, looking at my heart: It is all mine! Imprimatur: + Paul, arch. from Montreal.
2nd prayer
My Lord and my God, I humbly bow down and adore you. I feel powerless to consider your immense goodness, your infinite love in the holy Host. Then I recognize myself unable to match my gratitude to this incomprehensible benefit, the more I beg you with earnestness to put yourself in my heart, the feelings that I miss. Make your love detach me from the world and from myself, and suggest to me the words which can better express to you my desire to love you and to be, in life, in death, entirely in your divine Heart. O my God, infinitely worthy to be loved, I love you, and my only desire is to love you, to honor you worthily in the Tabernacle until my last breath. I love you, Lord my God, who love me with infinite love, and who prove it to me by your perpetual captivity on the altar. I ask only one grace of you, that of loving you always. I love you more than all things and myself, O Jesus, who hold more to my love than to your external glory. I would rather die immediately in your love, than live a single moment without loving you. I love you, O Jesus, and I only desire and ask from frequent communion, and even from heaven, only the happiness of loving you perfectly. My divine Master, if, at any moment, I cannot say my love to you, let my heart have the habitual intention of producing an act of it as many times as I breathe. I love you, Lord Jesus, who is willing for me to remain solitary on the altar; make that for your love, I free myself as much as possible from all that holds me away from you. I love you, O my Jesus, who, so as not to deprive me of your presence, you expose you here to a thousand outrages; grant me the grace, in providential trials, to suffer while loving you, and to love you while suffering. I love you, O Jesus, because, in the Eucharist, you gave me the gift of your Heart, and you allow me, at each communion, to offer mine to you. My sweet Savior, deign, as I approach death, increase and perfect my love for you. Grant me the grace to die in an act of perfect love, and then to feel that I love you, no longer for time, but for eternity. Intimate request: O Jesus, form in me the habit of lifting up my soul towards you, and detach my heart more and more from earthly things.

Jesus Christ is a central figure in Christianity. He is regarded as the incarnation of God.
The historical existence of Jesus is attested by archaeological research and by the accounts of Roman historians (Flavius Josephus, Tacitus, Suetonius).
At about the age of thirty, Jesus left Nazareth and began an itinerant public life. He calls his disciples and walks with them through Judea and Galilee. He teaches, he heals the sick, casts out demons, walks on water, forgives sins, raises the dead. He is attentive to children. He shares meals, a wedding party, pilgrimages to Jerusalem. He lives as a Jewish believer, goes to the synagogue, observes the Sabbath. He weeps, gets angry, experiences sadness, fatigue and thirst, compassion and even anguish. Jesus is known for his natural authority.
With all the miracles he performed, Jesus is the one to whom prayers should be addressed no matter what difficulties one faces.
