Psalms Protection Travel
10.1
Why, O LORD, do you stand afar off? Why do you hide yourself in the time of trouble?
10.2
The wicked in his pride pursues the afflicted; They are the victims of the wickedness which he hath devised.
10.3
For the wicked boasts of his own lust, And the captor despises the LORD.
10.4
The wicked says arrogantly, He will not punish. There is no God. -These are all his thoughts.
10.5
His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are too high to reach him; He blows against all his adversaries.
10.6
He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved: I am safe from evil for ever.
10.7
His mouth is full of curses, deceit, and deceitfulness: under his tongue is wickedness and iniquity.
10.8
He lies in ambush near the villages; He murders the innocent in far-off places; His eyes watch the afflicted.
10.9
He lurks in his secret place, as a lion in his den; He lurks to catch the poor; He catches him and draws him into his net.
10.10
He bends and stoopeth down, and the wretched shall fall into his claws.
10.11
He says in his heart, God forgets. He hides his face, he never looks.
10.12
Rise up, O LORD; lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the afflicted.

Why does the wicked despise God? Why does he say in his heart, 'You do not punish?
10.14
Yet thou lookest, for thou seest the sorrow and the suffering, that thou mayest take up their cause: to thee the poor is given up, thou helpest the fatherless.
10.15
Break the arm of the wicked, and punish his iniquities, and let him be cut off from your sight.
10.16
The LORD is king for ever and ever: the nations are cut off from his land.
10.17
You hear the vows of the afflicted, O LORD. Thou hast strengthened their heart; thou hast inclined thine ear.
10.18
To do justice to the orphan and the oppressed, That man from the earth may cease to inspire fear.
