Lord Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, you wanted to remain present among us through your priests. May their words be yours alone, their actions yours alone, and their lives a faithful reflection of yours.
May they be men who speak to God of men and speak to men of God. May they be fearless in their service, serving the Church as she wishes to be served.
May they be men, witnesses of the eternal in our time, walking the paths of history with the same steps as you and doing good for all.
May they be faithful to their commitments, jealous of their vocation and their gift, clear mirrors of their own identity, and may they live in the joy of the gift they have received.
I ask this through Mary your Mother: she has been present in your life and will always be present in the lives of your priests. Amen.
