Saints healing physical illnessesSaint Mamertus is called upon for healing from diarrhea and enteritis. Saint Mamertus was bishop of Vienne in the 5th century. He enjoyed deep wisdom and possessed the gift of miracles. He preached repentance and resignation to his people and instituted the Rogations.
INVOCATION:
The LORD is my strength and my praise, and he has been my deliverer; he is my strong God, I will set up a tabernacle for him; He is my father's God, I will exalt him.
Your right hand, O Lord, has been declared magnificent in strength. Your right hand, O Lord, has broken the enemy. You have ruined, by the greatness of your majesty, those who rise up against you. You sent out your anger, which consumed them like stubble.
Who is like unto thee among the mighty, O LORD? Who is, like you, magnificent in holiness, formidable, worthy of praise, and who does wonders?
Saint Mamertus, powerful intercessor for our infirmities and illnesses, pray for me.
PRAYER:
O my Jesus! I contemplate you through my tears, laid down from the tree of the cross, after having accomplished the painful work of your love and obedience. Oh ! if I had been that precious tree, if your sacred hands and feet had been attached to me, I would have cried out to those who came to take you away: I will never let Jesus Christ my Savior and my teacher separate from me; So bury me with him, that I may no longer be separated from him. Good Jesus, what I can no longer do with my body; I want to do it in my mind and in my heart. It is heavenly bliss here to be crucified with you who were crucified for me. So be it.
