Blessed Gauthier is invoked against all kinds of fevers, but more particularly to obtain the cure of cerebral fevers.
Blessed Gauthier lived near Poitiers, where he is honored, and became famous for his virtues and miracles.
INVOCATION
Lord my God, let your ears be attentive to the voice of my prayer; you are full of mercy, and I hope to obtain the healing that I ask of you, through the intercession of your servant and pontiff, Blessed Gauthier. We beg you by N.-S. AD So be it.
Pray for us, Blessed Gauthier, so that we may be delivered from fever and all dangerous diseases.
PRAYER
Eternal Father, almighty, all good, all merciful, have compassion on me, since for all my sins and for all the sins of the world, I owe you the life, the passion and the death of your only begotten Son. I offer you all that he has done and endured for me in particular, and for all men in general. I also offer you all the merits of her most good mother and of all the saints, so that in their favor you will forgive me and give me eternal life. So be it.
