INVOCATION:
Now therefore, Eternal God, confirm for ever the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, and do as thou hast spoken. And let thy name be known great forever, and let it be said, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel; and let the house of David your servant stand before you. For you, LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have made these things understand to your servant, and you said, "I will establish a family for you"; that is why your servant was prompted in his heart to pray to you this prayer.
Now therefore, Lord GOD, thou art God, and thy words shall be true; now you have promised your servant to do this good. Therefore now bless the house of your servant, that it may be before you forever; for you have said so, Lord GOD, and your servant's house will be filled with your blessing for ever.
Saint Momelin, pray, we beg of you, for all the sick that we recommend to you; I also beg you, pray for me.
PRAYER:
O Lord Jesus, my Savior! take away from me whatever displeases you, and I will gladly give myself entirely to you; I ask you in return only for the blessing of your holy wounds. These wounds inflame my heart much more than the sight of the firmament; their brilliance is much brighter to me than that of the stars; they illuminate my mind much better than sunlight illuminates the universe; they light up a much more violent fire in my heart than the brightest fire could do on a material object; they soften my soul much more surely than water softens the meadows it traverses; they excite my will for good, more effectively than grain fertilizes the earth where it is buried. So be it.
