Eternal recognition
be restored to you, O God
of goodness and mercy!
You did not want the death of the Sinner,
you did not reject his repentance;
like a good Father you have him
forgiven his sins
and received it in your love.
You broke my bonds, O Jesus,
you called me again
among your children,
and, heavenly peace,
that only you can dispense,
descended into my soul.
This freedom, this peace, O Jesus,
I now want to keep them.
From this moment, I give you my heart.
With the help of your holy grace,
I will be faithful to you.
I will be true to the accomplishment
of your will,
often recalling me in mind
in your presence;
I take the resolution
to be vigilant on myself,
to practice mortification of the senses,
to fulfill, with new zeal,
all my homework
and to repair as much

Accept, Lord, this resolution,
and that the sight of my weakness,

Mercy comes from the Latin misereri which means to have mercy and cor (heart).
