Saints slanderSaint John Nepomuk or John Nepomucene is invoked to obtain the grace to make good confessions, to be protected from indiscretion and slander.
INVOCATION:
Lord, who have enriched your Church with new glory, through the martyr, who deserved Blessed John to be the object of the love and the veneration of all the faithful, grant us, by the merit of his admirable silence in the midst of torture, all the special graces we hope for from your mercy. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint John Nepomucene, protector of those who are in danger of losing their reputation. Pray for us.
Also intercede for us, to obtain for us the grace of good confessions.
PRAYER:
O my Jesus, it is my duty to imitate you faithfully; for your passion is our redemption, and your death is our life. You suffer so that, delivered from the sufferings we deserve, we can participate in the salvation you bring us. You indulge in all the fury of your executioners, in order to rejoice forever in your mercies. You show us your benevolence, by being indulgent towards us and severe towards you. Through your holy Cross, you deliver mankind from all evils, and you yourself suffer them, in order to spare us them in the future. So be it.
