May 2: The Nativity
Your second joy is when you give birth to the Sun, you star; the luminous ray, you moon-like. This birth leaves you a virgin. As the flower does not lose its radiance when it sends its fragrance around, so your virginity loses none of its radiance when the Creator deigns to be born of you. By this joy, O Mary, be for us the straight path that leads to your Son.
