St. Veronica is invoked on behalf of the dumb children.
St. Veronica was born in Binasco, near Milan, in the year 1445, to a humble family of ploughmen.
Driven by a devouring faith, she wanted to enter the Augustinian Sisters of Saint Martha. But she could neither read nor write; nevertheless, she was able to enter as a converse sister.
The devotion to the "Way of the Cross" evokes, during the Passion of Christ, the memory of St. Veronica who would have braved the hostile crowd to wipe her face. St. Veronica would thus have collected the Holy Face on her laundry.
Her life was full of virtues and wonders. The angels fed her themselves.

INVOCATION
Lord, heal our little child; listen, we implore you, to the wishes which we formulate through Saint Véronique. Welcome our prayer and agree to heal our child. Remember the merits of Saint Veronique and answer her for her greatest glory. So be it.
Saint Véronique, election protector of puny children, pray for him.

PRAYER
O my Jesus! tie my hands and my feet throughout my life to your holy cross, and deign to conform fully to your passion. So be it.
