My God, I cannot celebrate enough or even understand the height and the depth, the breadth and the length of your charity. Your love for me surpasses all recognition; you gave me your Son, you invited me to your table, you presented me the true bread of life, this heavenly bread, of which whoever eats will never be hungry.
O Lord, when I speak the language of the Angels, I cannot proclaim your goodness enough. Do me the grace to conceive well the full extent of your love, and to have an eternal gratitude for it that from now on I have no other desire than to please you, and no other fear than to offend you.
That I still look upon sin with horror, and that I renounce it forever; may your Son, his charity, his love, his obedience, his virtues be always present in my spirit to admire and imitate him.
May I fear to displease you more than suffer death, and may I always be ready to die for your truth and for your justice; may all my thoughts be subject to you, and may all my life be spent adoring you, doing your work, advancing me in your knowledge, publishing your perfections, fighting my flesh, working for my salvation, for to take home the crown of life which you are preparing for your children, and which has been acquired for us by Jesus Christ your Son, to whom as to you, O Father and to the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory. Amen.
