Saint Nicholas of Tolentino was born after a pilgrimage that his mother made to Saint Nicholas of Myre and it was out of gratitude that he was called Nicholas.
At the age of 11, he entered the Order of the Hermits of Saint Augustine where he stood out for his obedience and humility. Wishing to unite himself closely to his Master Jesus, he fasted a lot, lying on the floor on a wicked straw mattress.
He catechized the poor, confessed sinners, converted many hardened sinners, and cast out demons. He delivered souls from purgatory through his prayers.
Saint Nicholas of Tolentino is prayed to assist Christians in their agony, to ask for the deliverance of souls from purgatory.
He is also invoked to obtain the healing of gingivitis.

INVOCATION:
Lord, listen favorably to the humble prayers that we address to you on the feast of Saint Nicholas of Tolentino, so that, putting our trust in him, we may be helped by the one whom your infinite mercy has given us as intercessor during our life and after our death. . So be it.
