Saints healing physical illnessesSaint Lothair is invoked especially to obtain the cure of typhoid fever.
INVOCATION:
I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, who art the mighty, the great and the terrible, who keep the covenant and mercy to those who love you and keep your commandments; I pray thee, that thy ear be attentive, and that thine eyes be open, to hear the prayer which thy servant presents to thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, confessing the sins of the children of Israel, which we have committed against the law, myself and my father's house; for we have sinned.
Saint Lothair, powerful intercessor who is invoked with confidence against all fevers and especially typhoid, pray for me.
PRAYER:
O God! Heavenly Father, be auspicious and merciful to us, through the blood, the wounds and the death of your only begotten Son on the cross. Put in a scale, O merciful God! all the sins that have drawn your anger to us, and in the other all the pains that your innocent Son suffered for us, the side which would incline your compassion towards us would certainly prevail over the one which would tend to withhold your mercies in your anger . So be it.
