Saint Hildevert is invoked against epilepsy and to be preserved from madness and mental disturbances.
This holy bishop was a living example of gentleness and patience. Neither events nor people could alter his equality of soul, because he handed over everything to God and could therefore not worry about anything.
The town of Gournay-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) is fortunate enough to be placed under the protection of Saint Hildevert.

INVOCATION:
O my God, who granted Saint Hildevert the reward of beatitude and the power to relieve us in our sufferings, allow us to experience the effects of his charity, and that after having invoked him on earth, we may bless in heaven forever. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
