They invoke St. Scholastica against storms; they invoke her again to obtain rain when it is necessary.
She is also invoked against sleepwalking.
Saint Scholastica was born in 480. She was the sister of St. Benedict. At a very young age she lived in prayer and recollection. She came closer to her brother when he was at Mount Cassin to benefit from his example and advice. St. Scholastica died in 543 and her brother, St. Benedict, had the good fortune to see his soul ascend to Heaven in the form of a dove.

INVOCATION
O my God, who is the author of all good things, we have recourse to you, through the merits of St. Scholastica; grant us the favourable time we need; thus make us share, in our sorrows, in the prayers and consolations that St. Scholastica lavishes on your servants. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Holy Scholasticate, who gives favourable time to those who invoke you, pray for us and obtain for us all the help of the Lord.

ORAISON
O precious wounds of my Jesus, you are the sources of true life, for you will never cease to shed the blood of salvation for my relief and that of all men. Let the blood of Jesus be the only drink of my soul, so that it may never again thirst for the goods of this life. So be it.
