Saint Genevieve is invoked in times of war, drought and flood, in times of restraint and famine. Saint Genevieve is also invoked for all kinds of important matters of life.
She is also invoked to be preserved from contagious diseases.
Saint Genevieve was born in Nanterre around 422 and retired in silence, prayer and meditation. Saint Germain, passing through Nanterre, predicted that she would make the salvation of Paris. Indeed, Saint Genevieve protected Paris when the Huns, led by Attila, invaded France. Innumerable miracles were performed through her intercession.

INVOCATION:
O God Almighty, admirable glorifier of the humble and the poor, who made Blessed Genevieve, your servant, illustrious by her virtues and the wonders she performed in your name: grant us, O God, to celebrate with dignity the merits and to imitate the admirable examples of the glorious virgin celt, whom we invoke as our good patroness. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Genevieve, who is a sure refuge from plague and famine, from all calamity, and who delivers from the wrath of God, pray for us.

PRAYER:
O God, Sovereign Lord of all things, you are our Father, and you dwell in the highest heaven: Grant that in prayer my heart may be lifted up to the throne of your glory, and that I may put all my trust in you. So be it.
