Saints
Saint Firmin is invoked against inflammations of all kinds.
Saint Firmin was born in Spain to illustrious Christian parents. Raised in the purest faith, Saint Firmin, priest at the age of 24, left to evangelize France. Persecuted, beaten with rods, imprisoned, he performed a multitude of miracles, healing the blind, the deaf, the dumb, the paralyzed, the lepers, the lame, the demon possessed. He died a martyr around the year 120.
INVOCATION
O God, whose nature is only goodness, and whose indulgence extends to all your creatures, because you are his Father, and of all fathers the most tender, I pray you, through intercession of Saint Firmin, to relieve me of the pain I am suffering. Remember, my God, the merits of your saint, and answer the prayer that he will present to you in my name.
Saint Firmin, miracle worker of all those who came to you, pray for me, hear me, I ask you with confidence.
PRAYER
Please confirm, Lord, this resolution which I form in your presence; do not allow the oil of the sinner to perfume my head, and that I share his injustice, which would one day make me share his misfortune; that I am not like the poor rich man who was tormented in the flames, while poor Lazarus rejoiced in Abraham’s bosom. Give me bowels of compassion for the needy; let me ease his pain and relieve his misery. So, Lord, since you are rewarding a glass of water given in your name, on the last day I will deserve to hear these consoling words from your mouth: “Come, blessed one of my Father; own the kingdom which was prepared for you from the beginning of the world: for I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was naked, and you clothed me. " So be it.
