Invocation to Saint Bonitus for the healing of the sick and consolation in all the sorrows of life

Saint Bonitus grants healing to the sick and consolation in all the sorrows of life to those who invoke it, but on condition that the graces which he thus distributes are kept secret. He was born in France about 640, and received from God human glory and earthly riches; but he was humble, and his riches were used to relieve the poor people who, attracted by his reputation for holiness, came knocking at his door. His virtues elevated him to the high office of bishop which he held at Clermont-Ferrand where he died about the year 700.

INVOCATION
Remember, in my favor, my Lord and my God, of Saint Bonitus your servant and of his admirable humility; Hear us through the intercession of him who served you with so much love on this earth, and whose heart was overflowing with charity for the neighbor - We pray to You through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Bonitus, comforter of afflicted hearts and health of the sick, help us.

PRAYER
O my Jesus! I firmly believe that no man has ever endured greater sorrow and anguish than that with which your soul was flooded in the Garden of Olives. That sweat of blood which the violence of your pain drives from your veins tells me enough. And he whom anguish brings down in this way, it is you, O bloody husband of your faithful! The thought of the sufferings that you would soon endure because of our sins, and even more that of our future ingratitude, was the cause of this immense pain. Through your Passion, Lord Jesus, have mercy on me. So be it.
