Saints
Saint Drausinus is invoked when one is forced to fight against the enemies of the Church, his faith or the State. Through his intercession, we obtain the graces and strength which are necessary for such a fight.
This is how Saint Thomas, Archbishop of Canterbury, had recourse to Saint Drausinus before returning to England, where he foresaw that he was to suffer martyrdom there.
INVOCATION
While our enemies are working to our destruction, you Lord, you my God, take our interests for the glory of your name. Place us, and all those who are dear to us, under the effective protection of Saint Drausinus; may this holy bishop, whom we implore, intercede for us through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Drausinus, pray for us in dangers, wars and calamities, and save us from the wrath of God and the punishments we have deserved.
PRAYER
I recommend to you, O my good Jesus, the souls in purgatory. By the ineffable goodness which brought you down to the altar, to be united with your children, and by the merits of your passion and of your death, deign, I beseech you, to deliver them from their torments, so that, purified by the sufferings of purgatory, they can enjoy eternal happiness with all your chosen ones. So be it.
