As nothing is more pernicious than excess in drink, and despite this many indulge in it, and to such an extent that they become ill and sometimes even die from it, we have considered it appropriate to teach you how to will do to make drunkards abhor the consumption of alcohol, - especially since the fountain called Clitoire which has this property is in fact very far from here.

So here is how you will do it.
Take three or four eels, immerse them in wine and let them die there, then give the drunkard this wine to drink;
henceforth he will abhor it forever and will no longer ask for a drink, but on the contrary will live very soberly.
