Remember, most sweet Virgin, that you are my Mother and that I am your child... that you are very powerful and that I am a poor, weak little creature. I beg you, my most sweet Mother, to govern and defend me in all my ways and in all my actions. Do not tell me, gracious Virgin, that you cannot, for your beloved Son has given you all power! Do not tell me that you must not: for you are the common Mother of all poor human beings, and especially of mine.
If you could not, I would excuse you, saying: it is true that she is my Mother and cherishes me as her son, but the poor thing lacks assets and provisions! If you were not my Mother, I would rightly wait, saying: She is very rich to help me; but, alas, not being my Mother, she does not love me. But, alas, since you are not my Mother, she does not love me. Then, O most sweet Virgin, since you are my Mother and you are powerful, how can I excuse you if you do not relieve me and lend me your help and assistance? You see, Mother, that you are compelled to grant all my requests. For the honour and glory of your Son, accept me as your child, regardless of my miseries and sins. Deliver my soul and my body from all evil, and give me all your virtues, especially humility. Finally, give me all the gifts, goods and graces that please the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So be it.

Understanding between people is a very important element that conditions peace and cohesion. The Evil One knows this and always seeks to create divisions and conflicts. Satan knows that he has to rely on misunderstanding in his malicious aims. His main objective is therefore to destroy families. Because he knows that in the family, if there is mutual understanding between all family members, he will never succeed in any of his evil deeds. So he pits brothers and sisters against each other, children become disobedient and see their parents as enemies. Wars are created between families, neighbours, clans, countries, religions...
In order to prevent Satan, the terrible evil one before the Lord, from achieving his objectives of harm, we must seek to cultivate and perpetuate Understanding in our living environments, in our families, in our countries...
Prayer remains at the base, the only and most powerful weapon that can infuse us with the inner peace that will transform us, making each of us an instrument of peace that will spread understanding and harmony around us.
