Virgin Mary
15 May: Magnificat
My soul exalts the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour:
He has looked upon his humble servant; henceforth all ages will call me blessed. The mighty one did wonders for me;
Holy is his name!
His love extends from age to age to those who fear him.
He scatters the proud with the strength of his arm.
He casts down the mighty from their thrones; He exalts the lowly.
He fills the hungry with good things, and sends the rich away empty-handed. He raises up Israel his servant,
He remembers his love.
Of the promise made to our fathers,
To Abraham and his seed for ever.
Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
