Protection Virgin Mary
O Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God and our Mother, Queen of Angels, accept my humble prayer and present it to the throne of the Most High. You have received from God the mission to crush by your divine Son the proud head of Satan. Filled with graces, You were conceived Immaculate to allow Jesus to save our souls by covering them with His precious Blood.
That is why we beg You to obtain from God that He may send His saints to repel the tempting demon, to reveal his wiles, to repress his audacity, and to chain him up in hell. Obtain for us the divine mercy to hear in our hearts the echo of the cry of adherence to God that marked the victorious intervention of the Archangel Saint Michael: "Who is like God?"
O our tender Mother, help us to become more humble in the sight of God and men. Help us to become ever more ready to repel the temptations of impurity or greed. Help us to remain persevering and attentive in prayer. Make us grow in our desire for Holy Mass and Holy Communion. Help us to love our neighbour, to live in peace with all, to forgive offenses and misunderstandings, in order to offer the Heart of your divine Son Jesus the joy of seeing us live the Gospel.
O Blessed Mother, we take refuge under your mantle of mercy, assured that you defend us from all the snares of the devil. Keep in us faith, love of God, zeal for his glory, observance of his holy Law and the evangelical counsels. Finally, Most Gentle Mother, we beseech You to assist us in the last moments of our lives, to preserve us from the malignant insinuations of the infernal enemy, to keep us confident in the paternal goodness of God, and to keep us in the firm hope that we will enter into the infinite joy of heaven to sing eternally the mercies of the Lord. So be it.
