Psalms Self-confidence to God
01 The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I fear? * The Lord is the bulwark of my life; before whom shall I tremble?
02 If the wicked come against me to tear me to pieces, * they are my enemies, my adversaries, * who lose their footing and fall.
03 Let an army spread out before me, my heart is without fear; * let the battle come on against me, I have confidence.
04 I have asked one thing of the Lord, the only thing I am looking for: * to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, * to admire the Lord in his beauty and to be attached to his temple.
05 Yes, he will keep me safe in the day of trouble; + he will hide me in the innermost secret of his tent, he will raise me up on the rock. *
06 Now I lift up my head before my enemies. I will go to his tent to celebrate the sacrifice of the standing ovation; * I will sing, I will praise the Lord.
07 Hear, O Lord, I call to you! * Have mercy! Answer me!
08 My heart has told me again your word, "Seek my face. » *
09 Your face, Lord, is your face, which I seek. Don`t hide your face from me. Do not cast away thy servant in anger: * thou art my helper. Do not leave me, do not forsake me, God, my salvation! *
10 My father and my mother have forsaken me. The Lord receives me.
11 Teach me your way, Lord, * Lead me by safe roads, in spite of those who are watching for me.
12 Don`t give me up to the adversary`s mercy: * Against me have risen false witnesses who blow violence.
13 But I am certain I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. *

There are 150 psalms in the Bible and they are attributed to King David. According to some beliefs, each psalm has a key, a secret, which, when used with the psalm, can solve a specific problem.
In the Koran, the Book of Psalms is called the Zabur.
Human beings are in a constant struggle on all levels against the forces of darkness, against the elements of nature and against their fellow human beings.
